Legacy II

The SNYCO and SCO combined concert is an annual concert that both orchestras look forward to each year. SNYCO erhu I associate principal, Li Yichen will perform the erhu concerto The Sun Shines on Tashkurghan with SCO, while zhongruan concerto The River Runs Red will be performed by SNYCO member, Chong Shao Yih. Composer Law Wai Lun’s The Celestial Web, completed with chorus and narration of the poem penned by renowned local multidisciplinary artist Tan Swee Hian, will be jointly performed by the combined orchestra of SCO and SNYCO. Additionally, the concert will feature the world premiere of Waves, Towards The Lands We Call Home, a symphonic poem for humanity and a prayer for peace, composed by Sulwyn Lok. An exhilarating concert, jointly presented by the teacher artists and their protégé, not to be missed!
